On 14 October 2025, the Military Institute of Armament Technology (WITU) participated in the 5th Armed Forces Innovation Forum of the Republic of Poland “R&D + Armed Forces” – a high-level event dedicated to advanced technologies, research and development, and capability development in the areas of defence and security.
The Forum was held at the Military University of Technology (MUT) and organized by the Innovation Department of the Ministry of National Defence.
This year’s edition brought together senior representatives of government and the Armed Forces, including the Secretary of State at the Ministry of National Defence, Mr. Cezary Tomczyk, and the Director of the Innovation Department, gen.bryg Marcin Górka. The event was also attended by rectors of technical universities and directors of research institutes.
The Forum provided a valuable platform for the exchange of expertise among stakeholders from academia, industry, and public administration, supporting civil-military cooperation and the strengthening of the national defence innovation ecosystem. The programme included presentations of advanced technological solutions and future directions in the development of modern military capabilities.
The Military Institute of Armament Technology presented its latest developments, including:
- Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS): Pchła, VPL7, VPL10
- Ground-Launched Munition System (GLMS) “Gnom”
- Payloads and warheads for unmanned platforms
- “Moskit” Anti-Tank Guided Missile system
- RPG-25 “Dzięcioł” single-use anti-armour weapon
- Specialized explosive charges and demolition systems
WITU’s participation in the Innovation Forum underscored its key role in advancing Poland’s defence technological base and contributing to the development of innovative, interoperable military capabilities.
