On November 18, 2025, during the Formal Gala of the Stanisław Staszic Competition for the best innovative products “Laurel of Innovation 2024/2025,” organized by the Federation of Scientific and Technical Associations (NOT), the Military Institute of Armament Technology was honored with the Bronze Laurel of Innovation.
The award was granted for the project:
“PANGOLIN K2PL Reactive Armor for the K2 Black Panther Tank”
The distinction was accepted by Mariusz SOCZYŃSKI, PhD, Eng. – Colonel (Ret.), Deputy Director for Cooperation, who represented the Military Institute of Armament Technology during the gala.
The Laurel of Innovation is a recognition of the high level of research and development work conducted at the Institute, as well as the project team’s contribution to the development of modern defense technologies. The PANGOLIN K2PL project is an example of an advanced technological solution that enhances the protective capabilities of modern combat platforms.
This award confirms WITU’s position as a leading research unit in the field of armament and defense technologies and serves as motivation for further activities towards the innovative development of the national security system.
