Dear Sir or Madam!
We regret to inform you that due to the COVID-19 pandemic prevailing in Poland and in the world, we are forced to cancel the 13th International Armament Conference ARMAMENT 2020 on “Scientific Aspects of Armament and Safety Technology”, which was to take place in the RYN Castle Hotel in Masuria, Poland on September 21-24, 2020.
However, in view of your efforts in preparing speeches and papers for this year’s ARMAMENT 2020 conference and in order to meet the expectations of the armaments community, we kindly inform you that:
- following tradition of our conference, prestigious 7th Competition for the “Kazimierz Siemienowicz Memorial Award for the best publication in the field of armament and safety technology” for young science and industry workers under the age of 35 will be organized. This year’s formula of the competition was limited only to the first stage, i.e. the substantive evaluation of the submitted papers by the Competition Committee;
- on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the organization of the conference “Scientific aspects of armament and safety technology” in 2021, and on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of publishing Polish scientific quarterly journal “Problems of Mechatronics. Armament, Aviation, Safety Engineering” (https://promechjournal.pl) – Director of the Institute of Armament Technology of the Faculty of Mechatronics and Aerospace (Military University of Technology, Warsaw, Poland) and Editor-in-chief of the scientific quarterly journal announce an open Competition for best paper contributing to the development of knowledge of the following three thematic areas:
– Ballistics and explosives,
– Design, construction and operation of armaments,
– Construction materials and manufacturing technologies.
Papers for both competitions should be submitted by September 15, 2020 through the “Paper submission” tab on the conference website: https://mku2020.syskonf.pl.
The winners of both competitions will be honored with statuettes, diplomas and material prizes as well as a bonus in the form of the so-called “Fast path” publication of the paper in the quarterly. We hope that the submitted papers will contribute to a further increase in the scientific level of the quarterly, which aspires to be included in the SCOPUS database.
At the same time, today we cordially invite you to take part in the 14th International Armament Conference ARMAMENT 2022 on “Scientific aspects of armament and safety technology,” which is planned in September 2022. We hope that by that time the epidemiological threat will be gone forever, enabling the organization of another wonderful scientific meeting.
