A meeting of consortium members of the “NewHeat” project funded by the European Defense Fund EDF was held on September 18-20, 2023 at the headquarters of the Military Institute of Armament Technology.
The “NewHeat” project aims to develop technologies for modern warheads to defeat the latest generation of main battle tanks equipped with explosive reactive armor (ERA) and active protection systems (APS) as well as elements of infrastructure made of high performance concrete (HPC). The developed warheads will be versatile which will enable their application in various types of weapons: hand grenade launchers, guided mines, loitering munitions, guided missiles, etc.
The project is carried out by an international consortium including representatives of Germany, France, Spain, Norway, Finland, Sweden and Poland.

As part of the meeting, the consortium members discussed a number of issues concerning the project’s implementation and plans for future activities. A demonstration of the project’s results was also held for representatives of potential military end-users (MEUAG – Military End-User Advisory Group) from countries whose representatives are members of the consortium.
Between sessions, participants had the opportunity to see the portfolio of simulators developed at the Institute.
